DESCRIPTION:FREE Carbon Farming & Polyculture Workshop for Urban Food Growers with Jessica Bates. This workshop teaches basic principles and applications for Carbon Farming in an Urban Farm setting. We will get into the core basics of no-till growing & carbon farming for food production and will put all that we learn into action at Hazel garden. \nWe will also touch on polycultures for perennial and annual food production as well. This is also an opportunity learn about funding opportunities for your carbon farming endeavors. \nSpeaker:\nJessica has been gardening for over 20 years. She is a Master Gardener and Master Composter as well as a certified permaculture teacher and designer. She has experience designing and installing rain catchment systems including bioswales and creating irrigation systems.
