What is "Hands-On-Conservation"? A county-wide educational program sponsored by the Conservation Partnership that provides opportunities for youth to learn about natural resources conservation through active participation in stewardship and agriculture enhancement activities on public and private property.
Funding for program development and implementation is being provided through key project partnerships with the Clean Water Division of the Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (ACFC&WCD), CALFED, and other sources.
Our part time Conservation Intern position is now open, with applications due by August 7, 2013. The intern position primarily involves assisting RCD staff with the District’s Hands-On Conservation stewardship workday events.
