The foundation of the Alameda County Conservation Partnership has been our ability to act as facilitator – a non-regulatory neutral third party that has the unique ability to investigate and understand all sides in issues related to natural resources, the environment, and agriculture - as the working landscape.  The concept of “working in the middle” requires the Conservation Partnership to reach out to diverse agencies, organizations and individuals and to build strong, lasting relationships.

The strength of this facilitation process is dependent on the strength of our individual partnerships, and the willingness of our partners to work with us, and sometimes through us, to reach consensus at the local level.

We wish to acknowledge our partners and thank them for their financial, technical, informational, and inspirational contributions to the wise use and management of Alameda County’s natural resources.

We especially thank our private landowners and land managers, for their continued involvement and trust.
